Ingredients
Dry ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Wet ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Mix wet and dry ingredients separately.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients just until combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before cutting and serving.
