Beef back ribs

A delicious way to cook ribs that rivals the grill.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs beef back ribs
  • 3 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2–3 Tbsp. dry rub (below)
  • 3-4 Tbsp. barbecue sauce

Dry rub

  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. ancho chili powder

Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the ribs by sliding a knife under it and pulling it off with a paper towel.
  2. Coat the ribs on both sides with Dijon mustard.
  3. Sprinkle the dry rub evenly over all sides of the ribs and rub in gently.
  4. Let the ribs sit at room temperature for 30-45 minutes (optional).
  5. Preheat oven to 275°F. Cover ribs tightly with foil then place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 2 1/2-3 hours, until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
  7. Remove the foil and brush the ribs with barbecue sauce on top.
  8. Broil for 5 minutes.
