A delicious, chewy side to a variety of dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup milk, warm
- 1/3 cup water, warm
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/3 cup molk/3 cup molk
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, stir together flour, yeast, and salt.
- Add in milk and water and stir to combine. Add in oil.
- Knead using the dough hook until dough comes together, ~3-5 minutes.
- Cover dough and allow to rise until doubled, ~2 hours.
- Once risen, turn dough out onto a floured counter top.
- Separate dough into 8 pieces. Heat a clean cast iron skillet over medium (5) heat.
- Flatten each piece of dough and lightly oil skillet.
- Place each piece on skillet and cook for 20-30 seconds until charred but not burnt.
- Flip to other side for 5-10 more seconds then remove.
- Repeat with remaining dough.
