Review
This book was so good that I barely put it down in the 3 days it took me to read it. It is definitely a novel, totaling nearly 400 pages. As someone who knows African immigrants in America, I felt that the story really captured the emotions and experiences one might come across if that is their journey. There were sad moments, funny moments, and all too many real-life moments. Overall, this is one of my favorite stories I’ve ever read. I had to put the book down several times while reading it so I could savor the moment of reading a story that really connected to me.
