A healthy, rich broth.
Ingredients
- 2–3 lb beef femur bones (marrow removed)
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 celery stalk
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Water to cover bones
Instructions
- Heat instant pot to sauté on high. Once hot, add bones. Cook for 20-30 minutes, rotating bones every 5-10 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients, then add enough water to cover bones but stay below the max fill line.
- Pressure cook on high for 2 hours. Allow pressure to naturally release.
- Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Cool and refrigerate.
- Remove hardened fat from the top before using.
