A healthy, rich broth.

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lb beef femur bones (marrow removed)
  • 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Water to cover bones

Instructions

  1. Heat instant pot to sauté on high. Once hot, add bones. Cook for 20-30 minutes, rotating bones every 5-10 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, then add enough water to cover bones but stay below the max fill line.
  3. Pressure cook on high for 2 hours. Allow pressure to naturally release.
  4. Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Cool and refrigerate.
  5. Remove hardened fat from the top before using.
