A more mature version of an American classic.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 1/2 red bell pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or skillet, brown beef, lightly sprinkling with salt. Drain and remove from pot.
  2. Mince onion and bell pepper in a food processor. Sauté over medium (5) heat until liquid dries up, ~5 minutes.
  3. Add beef and remaining ingredients to pot. Allow to simmer over medium-low (3) for 5-10 minutes.
