A more mature version of an American classic.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp. dijon mustard
- 3 Tbsp. coconut aminos
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot or skillet, brown beef, lightly sprinkling with salt. Drain and remove from pot.
- Mince onion and bell pepper in a food processor. Sauté over medium (5) heat until liquid dries up, ~5 minutes.
- Add beef and remaining ingredients to pot. Allow to simmer over medium-low (3) for 5-10 minutes.
