Large batch for freezer: Double meat and vegetables. Cook as normal, then separate in half. Freeze one half for later and use the rest in the recipe as written.

A protein-packed, flavorful rice dish that is sure to please.

Ingredients

Meat and vegetables

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2 green bell pepper
  • 1/4 onion

Spices

  • 3/4 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. thyme
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano

Rice

  • ~4 cups cooked rice -or-
  • 2 1/2 cups uncooked rice -and-
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Finely dice bell peppers and onion.
  2. Sauté on high along with ground beef and turkey until fully cooked.
  3. Separate meat in half if making double batch.
  4. Cooked rice: Stir in cooked rice and spices. Sauté on low for 5 minutes.
    Uncooked rice: Add uncooked rice, broth, and spices to instant pot. Cook on rice function.
