A rich, delicious breakfast porridge.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dry millet
- 4 medium dates
- 2 1/2-3 cups water
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Add millet and dates to a jar and cover with 1-2” of water. Allow to soak overnight.
- Drain and rinse millet and dates. Add to blender.
- Add about 3/4 cup of water and blend until smooth.
- In the meantime, bring 1 1/2-2 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Pour millet mixture into a medium pot and heat over medium (5). Once it starts to bubble, turn the heat to medium-low (2) and stir often.
- Allow to cook for 7-10 minutes until thickened, whisking constantly.
