A healthy “brownie” that all ages will enjoy.
Ingredients
- ~14 (100g) deglet noor dates
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup gf flour
- 1/4 cup protein powder
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Add dates and water to a pot. Bring to a boil, then allow to sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
- Add dates and soaking water to a food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides and adding a few splashes of milk, as needed. Pour mixture into a mixing bowl.
- Mix in remaining milk and vanilla, then fold in dry ingredients. Pour batter into 12 mini muffin tins.
- Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Allow to fully cool to room temperature before eating.
Notes
8” x 4” loaf pan: Bake for 22 minutes.
8” x 8” pan: double recipe. Bake for 28 minutes.
