Smothered chicken

A rich chicken dish full of flavor.


  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 cups broth or water
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp. sundried tomatoes

Flour mixture

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. Nature’s season
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper


  1. Cut bacon into 1/2” pieces. Cook bacon and set aside.
  2. Mix flour mixture ingredients. Cut chicken breasts in half horizontally then cover in flour mixture.
  3. Add oil to skillet with bacon fat and heat over medium (5). Add chicken and cook on each side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add flour and stir into oil. Cook until light brown.
  5. Whisk in broth/water and milk slowly. Once gravy consistency, add bacon and sundried tomatoes and stir. 
  6. Add chicken back, then cover. Cook over medium-low (3) for 10-15 minutes, until chicken is fully cooked through.
