Shredded chicken

Yield: 3 cups
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Additional Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes


  • Chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c. water/broth


  1. Rinse chicken breasts, and add to a deep pot with water or broth.
  2. Let simmer over medium-low (3) heat, covered, for 20 minutes or until fully cooked through. Allow to rest 5 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken breasts from pot. Shred with forks or use your hands.


Reserve the cooking liquid to use somewhere else.
