- 1/4 tsp. quick rise yeast
- 1/4 tsp. quick rise yeast
Egg wash
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. water
- 1 tsp. water
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Add water until a slightly sticky dough is formed.
- Allow to knead on medium-high speed until slapping against the sides of the bowl, ~3 minutes. Cover and allow to rise in a greased bowl for 8-12 hours or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, gently remove dough from bowl. Gently roll into a log shape, then cut into 6 or 8 pieces. Form each piece into a tight ball, rolling and tucking it into itself on the bottom side.
- Evenly place buns on a baking sheet, cover with a damp cloth, and allow to double in size again.
- Remove towel and brush completely with egg wash. Bake at 375°F for 20-23 minutes, until tops are firm and golden. Allow to cool on a cooling rack.
